From Our Ipswich.
Look at the bottom of this poster that was e-mailed to me by Optua on behalf of Ashley Maw, Community Inclusion Facilitator, Supporting Families Delivery Agency, Adult and Community Services, Suffolk County Council, New Southwest, 12 Great Whip Street, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP2 8EZ  Tel: 01473 400855 Mob: 07894598584, Mail to: ashley.maw@suffolk.gov.uk,  http://www.suffolk.gov.uk/  Just why SCC cannot send out their own mails I do not know. However the listed supporters of this event are; http://www.leap.ac.uk/home, http://www.csv.org.uk/ , http://skillsfundingagency.bis.gov.uk/,
http://www.suffolklearningconsortium.org,uk/http://www.yourconsortium.org/nldc.html,
http://www.optua.org.uk,%20http//www.avenuesgroup.org.uk
It seems more people are being paid to support this event than are actually likely to attend and by allowing this we add to the numbers of unemployed in the country as people are being exhorted to volunteer to do jobs free that should be done by workers on wages. There is also uptownevents12@gmail.com who I have been unable to trace so far. Phones are not being answered and mails are not being replied to. There is an interesting point here that needs looking into considering Optua have an income of £6 million a year much of it from us and they are a respectable charity as far as I can see so far but who checks their accounts? Optua makes funding available to organisations that do not account for the money so why are Optua giving our money away without being able to account for it. This is but a small issue in an otherwise respectable charity but how many small issues are there. We should be able to discover this but we cannot. Why?

About Me

My photo
I am 69 and have to use a wheelchair but I never allow this issue to interfere with anything I want to achieve. I would like young people and even those not yet born to be able to enjoy growing up in Ipswich as much as my generation did. We never stayed around the town or housing areas as we spent our time in the countryside doing what kids do and annoying nobody. We all learned to live off the land and to appreciate the countryside too. No drugs or alcohol needed to have a really good time and grow into mature adults. My wife and I spend our time as volunteers and we have spent many a happy day taking disabled people sailing on the River Orwell. We hope to expand this year with more boats.
